How would someone get into taxidermy just for a hobby?

Sunday, March 28th, 2010
alfred asked:

I have always been very interested in taxidermy. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the subject for me. I am sort of an artist..mostly pencil and charcoal…and some experience in painting so I have some artistic abilities and was wondering what supplies, materials or anything else that would be needed for just a beginner. I have heard that it is really expensive. Also wanted to know what kind of space would be needed for that sort of hobby or craft. Any info or answers would be greatly appreciated. :)

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010
DJ_Chavo asked:

The guys take a pre-mapped trip to an office building and are told to design an ad campaign for a taxidermy company. Along the way, there are visual cues that eventually “inspire” the final design. I saw the video a while back, and haven’t been able to find it.

Would fur be considered contraband?

Saturday, March 13th, 2010
Lisa asked:

I’m interested in buying a fox pelt off ebay so I may taxidermy it for personal use (I do not wish to gain profit from it) However, after losing an auction in the UK I looked at pelts in America that are within my price range, but wondered whether they would be considered illegal or as contraband if they were to be shipped into the UK.
