My dad has a mounted gross that he had killed in Montana. its a great looking bird. The taxidermist took his time with with one and it wasn’t cheap to have it to done. needless to say i left the mount on top of a fireplace for a minute and it burned the base and blackened some of the dirt the bird stands on. Anyone know of anything dealing with taxidermy? Like how to replace the blackened soil or sand down the blackened wood base.? my dad is going to be really pissed
