Is there a way to clean and mount my next pheasant by myself? ?

Trent W asked:

I have always admired the beauty of the ring-necked pheasant. I want to mount my next bird but do not want to pay the high price at taxidermy.

I would say no if you have no experience in taxidermy. you can buy some beautiful farm raised pheasant mounts off the web for about $100-200, happy huntin’

Pheasants are some of the easiest birds to learn to mount. Get the pheasant mounting kit from Van Dykes. The worse that will happen is you will mess up the mount. Just start with a new skin; and if you skin it right away, you can still eat the meat.
