When your pet dies, would you consider taxidermy?

Dan asked:

I think taxidermy is much more respectful than putting it in the damn ground and wasting the earth’s space, whether it’s with animals OR humans. Personally, I don’t think there’s anything creepy about taxidermy – I think putting something in the ground to rot or in a furnace is less respectful. It’s easy to make jokes about a taxidermized animal or human, but theres nothing wrong with that.

In the ground. I don’t want a stuffed dead animal in my Living Room.

    Worms need food too.

Absolutely not. Everyone has different opinions about it, I personally dont like it but to each their own. I would find it just as respectful to bury my dog in a nice casket and give her a gravestone, which is what I have done with all of my pets in the past, to me they are my family and they deserve a burial just like a person. If you like the idea of taxidermy, that is fine with me but its just not my thing.
