I’d say Pedagogue. Even though it means teacher it is often used to imply pompous, self-important, or overly formal, as in “he had a pedagogical way of speaking that annoyed me.”
I would think A.
Inoculate is negative to me only because I hate needles.
If you’re a fish or game animal, taxidermy can’t connote joy!!!
Connotation, negative or positive, comes from context. You can’t label a word connotatively negative (or positive) based on a mere listing of it.
B. flashes like a neon sign; but it is an ill wind that blows nobody an good – in this case the beneficiary is the taxidermist and his family.

In that way it’s similar to “pedant”
I would say (B) because it means basically, to stuff and preserve something that is dead.
